Here, for your viewing pleasure, is Patti Low's wonderful interpretation of Camille as "The Biker Babe".  Patti worked long and hard to create this sassy lady riding her Harley.  This was, I believe, Patti's first attempt at doll making.  All I can say is WOW Patti, you did a great job on her.  Thank you for letting us all see and enjoy your work!!

Valerie Pickle of Sutton, Alaska created these two lovely Epoch Ladies for competition in the Expo 2008 Doll Show in Oklahoma.  She was a prize winner and in addition won a special award from Monique Trading for her restyling of the brunette wig.  Congratulations Val, they are gorgeous!  Thank you for allowing everyone to see and enjoy them!

Jackie and her new Daughter In Law Lisa pose with the stunning Look-Alike porcelain doll that Jackie created for her as a wedding gift.  Jackie created Lisa's jewelry and rings as well as a replica of her wedding gown made from the same fabrics as Lisa's own gown, which Jackie also created for her.  Just wonderful  Jackie!!  I know that Lisa will cherish her wonderful keepsake for years to come.

Nancy Robbins from Texas created this wonderful tableau using three Chesley's.  Nancy's family has many firefighters and as she says "Smoke is in my blood".  The title of this piece is "The Three Wise men Came from A-Fire".  Great idea, well done Nancy!!

Congratulations to Sammi Wright of Texas on her darling interpretation of Dianna Effner's Elder Elf as an American Hobo Clown, the only classification native to the US.  His costume was created after researching this type of clown.  Sammi garnered firsts from the East Texas Doll Show judging and also a first place in the IFDM competition.  Sammi tells me this is only her second "real live" competition and her first Blues.  Way to go Sammi!!!

Pat Bemis of Virginia presents her version of Mother Goose as "Mrs. Santa Claus".  Mrs. Claus sits in her rocking chair with her knitting.  You can see her little friend on the rug beside her chair.  Pat entered Mrs. Claus in the East Texas Doll Show at Tyler, Texas and was awarded her very first BLUE RIBBON.  Congratulations Pat on a job well done!!

Congratulations are in order!  Jackie Bond of Australia won Best of Division-Beautiful Brides & Best In Show Judge's Choice Award at the East Texas Doll Show, 2005.

Jackie made two Heathers side by side, and because of her size, assembled her prize wining US version here when she came to visit before the show.  I was lucky enough to be able to give Heather #1 a home here.  Jackie made two dresses (I wanted the green one <g>) and re-dressed "my" Heather in the fabulous green taffeta ball gown, taking  the equally gorgeous bridal gown home with her for Heather #2 to wear in a future show in her home country of Australia.  Heather #1 remains here with me and Jackie plans to visit her often.  Hopefully sometime very soon, we will get to see the other  "Twin" as she makes her debut at one of Jackie's great Australian Doll Shows!! Congrats Miz Jackie, Well done!

I never get tired of seeing this baby!!  Debbie Smith of Australia's second  sweet "Egg Baby.  The Egg is lined with satin and trimmed with braid and fired on decals.  Baby has the softest of feather pillows to snuggle into, and is being watched over by a visiting Butterfly!!   Great job Debbie, another wonderful creation!

Another sweet baby, this one is Jackie Bond's Award Winning Daddy's Boy.  This little charmer garnered Best Professional Baby/Toddler with Glass Eyes recently.  When Jackie visited with me last summer, she poured, cleaned and fired this little guy.  I think this was her first experience with pouring and it's obvious she is a "natural".  Good going Miz Jackie!

Jackie's Kathleen was awarded the First Prize Ribbon along with a Rosette for BEST IN CATEGORY,  Professional, Modern Adult Doll with Painted Eyes.  This is Jackie's first pair of painted eyes, and like everything else she does, they are awesome.  The judges agreed!!  Thanks for sharing her Jackie, she is truly beautiful!

WOW!!  Now that's about all I can say about Peggy Scearce's "Biker Babe"!!  Peggy made some modifications to Ali Hansen's new all porcelain body allowing the "Babe" to be seated on her Harley.  Peg garnered a first place ribbon on her Camille at the East Texas Doll Show, July 10th & 11th, 2004 in Tyler, Texas.  Watch for an article from Peggy soon on the creation of this awesome work of art.  Congratulations Peggy!!

Presented here is a very special project created by Lola Squyres.  Lola created the award winning Cynthia Parker pictured above in the likeness of her Paternal Grandmother on her wedding day. Lola spent three years researching the life and times of her Grandmother to create this lovely likeness.  The photos of her Grandmother seen above were taken in 1893 and in 1910.  Congratulations Lola on this beautiful tribute.  Well done!!
